Potassium-ion batteries are a genuine but separate research line that use potassium ions, and were not the JNCASR 2025 announcement. Graphene batteries use graphene mainly to enhance conductivity and electrode performance, again a different technology.

'Nion battery' is not a recognised, established battery chemistry, so it can be set aside as an invented term.

Therefore the super-fast charging technology developed by JNCASR in 2025 was the Sodium-ion battery.
