The correct answer is

2.4 Ω

For resistors joined in parallel, the equivalent resistance is found from 1/R = 1/R1 + 1/R2. Substituting R1 = 4 Ω and R2 = 6 Ω gives R = (4×6)/(4+6) = 24/10 = 2.4 Ω.
