The correct answer is

North-east

Tommy first walks 30 metres towards the north from his starting point.

He turns right, which makes him face east, and walks 10 metres towards the east.

He then turns left, which makes him face north again, and walks 25 metres towards the north.

His total northward movement is 30 + 25 = 55 metres, and his eastward movement is 10 metres.

So the school lies to the north and to the east of the starting point, that is in the north-east direction.

Hence, Tommy's school is in the North-east direction from his starting point.
