MONDIACULT is UNESCO’s world conference on cultural policies and sustainable development, where culture ministers set the global agenda for the cultural sector.
The first MONDIACULT was held in Mexico City in 1982 and the second in Mexico City again in 2022. The 2025 edition was hosted by Spain from 29 September to 1 October 2025 at the Barcelona International Convention Centre.
More than 150 ministerial delegations took part, and a major aim was to push for culture as a stand-alone goal in the post-2030 development agenda.
