MH SET 2025 Paper 2 Hindi Question Paper (15-Jun-2025)
The correct answer is

Composite cone

Composite cone option is correct.

Volcanic cones are classified by lava chemistry and eruptive style. Composite (or strato-) cones, such as Fujiyama, Vesuvius, and Stromboli, are built from alternating layers of viscous andesitic lava and pyroclastic ash produced by intermediate-to-explosive eruptions. They dominate the “Ring of Fire” and account for the majority of the world’s classical cone-shaped volcanoes.

Because most of the world’s several hundred active subaerial volcanoes sit above subduction zones and erupt intermediate magma, the composite cone is the numerically most common and morphologically most typical form.

A caldera is a collapse depression, not a cone; an ash-cone is a small pyroclastic mound of restricted occurrence; a lava dome forms from very viscous silicic lava and is comparatively rare.
