RRB Group D 2018 Question Paper (11-Oct-2018) (Shift 3)
The correct answer is

Calcium hydroxide

Calcium hydroxide is correct.

Slaked lime is obtained by adding water to quicklime (calcium oxide); the reaction \(\text{CaO} + \text{H}_2\text{O} \rightarrow \text{Ca(OH)}_2\) gives calcium hydroxide, used in whitewashing and in neutralising acidic soils.

CaO is quicklime, CaCl2 is calcium chloride, and CaCO3 is limestone or chalk.
