The correct answer is

214.5

Given:

each shop can increases the sales of books by 10%.

Formula used:

total value of things after percent increment = old value × (100 + increment%)/100

Calculation:

Before increment number of books in different shops(in thousands) are following -

Number of books in B1 shop = 20

Number of books in B2 shop = 40

Number of books in B3 shop = 55

Number of books in B4 shop = 80

After increment number of books in different shops(in thousand) are following -

Number of books in B1 shop = 20 × 110/100 = 22

Number of books in B2 shop = 40 × 110/100 = 44

Number of books in B3 shop = 55 × 110/100 = 60.5

Number of books in B4 shop = 80 × 110/100 = 88

Sum of total books after increment in all shops = 214.5 (in thousands)

∴ After increment number of books in different shops(in thousand) are 214.5 thousands.
