Statements: All rugs are perfumes. All boots are perfumes.

Conclusion (I): Some rugs are boots.

Conclusion (II): Some perfumes are boots.

The correct answer is

Only conclusion (II) follows

Represent the statements with Venn diagrams: rugs and boots are both subsets of perfumes, but nothing forces rugs and boots to overlap; they can lie in disjoint parts of the perfume circle.
