Periodic Labour Force Survey (PLFS) is conducted by which institution in India?
NSSO
The Periodic Labour Force Survey (PLFS) was launched in 2017 to provide quarterly and annual estimates of employment and unemployment indicators such as the labour force participation rate, worker population ratio and unemployment rate.
It is conducted by the National Sample Survey Office (NSSO), now part of the National Statistics Office under the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation.
The Ministry of Labour and Employment and NITI Aayog use PLFS data but do not conduct the survey, and the Development Intelligence Unit is a separate body. So PLFS is conducted by the NSSO.
Hence, NSSO.
