A bag contains 20% red balls, 30% green balls and the rest blue balls. If there are 80 blue balls, what is the total number of balls?

The red and green balls together make up \(20\% + 30\% = 50\%\) of the bag.
So the blue balls form the remaining \(100\% - 50\% = 50\%\) of the total.
Let the total number of balls be \(T\). Then \(50\% \text{ of } T = 80\), i.e. \(\frac{1}{2}T = 80\).
Therefore \(T = 80 \times 2 = 160\).
Hence, the total number of balls is 160.
