The 5th edition of the Khelo India Winter Games (KIWG) 2025 was conducted in two phases. The first phase began on 23 January 2025 in Leh, Ladakh, with the opening ceremony at the NDS (Nawang Dorjay Stobdan) Sports Complex; ice hockey and ice skating events were held there.
The second phase was later staged in Gulmarg, Jammu & Kashmir, which hosted the snow events such as skiing and snowboarding. This is why Gulmarg, though a real KIWG 2025 venue, is wrong for the first phase that opened on 23 January.
Manali (Himachal Pradesh) and Dehradun (Uttarakhand) did not host the Khelo India Winter Games 2025, so they are incorrect. Hence the first phase venue is Leh.
