In a certain code language, ‘GOAT’ is coded as ‘7269’ and ‘TEAO’ is coded as ‘4679’. What is the code for ‘E’ in the given code language?

This question was previously asked in
RRB Technician 2026 Grade 3 Question Paper (7-Oct-2026) (Shift 3)
The correct answer is

4

Letters common to GOAT and TEAO: T, A, O. Digits common to 7269 and 4679: 7, 6, 9.

So T, A, O take the codes 7, 6, 9 in some order.

In TEAO, the only letter left is E and the only digit left in 4679 is 4.

Hence, the code for ‘E’ is 4.
