Question

If LIME is written as 129135 in a code, what will be the code for ORANGE?

This question was previously asked in
RRB Group D 2018 Question Paper (11-Oct-2018) (Shift 3)
The correct answer is

151811475

Each letter is replaced by its position number in the English alphabet and the numbers are concatenated in order.

Check with LIME: L is the 12th letter, I is 9, M is 13 and E is 5. Writing them together gives 12-9-13-5, which reads as 129135. This confirms the rule.

Apply the same rule to ORANGE: O = 15, R = 18, A = 1, N = 14, G = 7, E = 5. Concatenating gives 15-18-1-14-7-5, that is 151811475.

Hence, 151811475.
