The correct answer is

Monday

From 31 December 2003 to 31 December 2004 is exactly one full year that includes 2004, a leap year, so it spans 366 days.

From 31 December 2004 to 7 March 2005 covers 31 days of January, 28 days of February (2005 is not a leap year), and 7 days of March, totalling \(31 + 28 + 7 = 66\) days.

Total days from 31 December 2003 to 7 March 2005 is \(366 + 66 = 432\) days.

Since \(432 \div 7 = 61\) remainder \(5\), the day of the week advances by 5 days from Wednesday, giving Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday, so 7 March 2005 was a Monday.
