SSC CGL 2025 Tier 2 Paper 1 Question Paper (19-Jan-2026)
The correct answer is

The fallen tree blocked the road.

To change passive to active:

(i) The agent in the “by”-phrase becomes the new subject — here, the fallen tree.
(ii) The original subject becomes the new object — here, the road.
(iii) The verb keeps the same tense; was blocked (simple past passive) becomes blocked (simple past active).

Putting it together: “The fallen tree blocked the road.”

Option (2) shifts the tense to past perfect, option (3) reverses the meaning, and option (4) is still passive. Hence the correct active form is option (1).
