Incandescent lamp

That combination is exactly what the theatre wants to avoid, since it means high stage heat and frequent lamp changes at height, driving up maintenance cost.

A fluorescent lamp is also far more efficient and longer-lived than an incandescent, generating much less heat per unit of light.
