Immediate left
Take positions 1–7 arranged clockwise around the table with everyone facing the centre; for a person facing the centre, the immediate left is the next position in the clockwise direction.
Fix A at position 1. G is second to the left of A, so G is two steps clockwise from A, i.e., G at position 3.
A is third to the left of F, so A is three steps clockwise from F, giving F at position 5 (5 → 6 → 7 → 1 = A).
G is to the immediate right of E, so E is the immediate left of G, i.e., E is one step clockwise from G at position 4.
