The application for PSPCL should be submitted through online mode. As soon as the vacancy notifications for different posts are published, aspiring candidates can submit their applications through the official website of PSPCL.

After the registration for the PSPCL exam application is closed, they will release official call letters for the exam with a scheduled date and time. Candidates who have applied for the specific exam can then download admit cards from the official website of PSPCL.
The soft copy of the admit card should be downloaded and printed out to produce during the examination. Candidates can download the admit cards by entering the login credentials on the admit card download link of PSPCL.
PSPCL exam is held at different centres in cities across Punjab. Candidates can choose their desired test centre while filling out the online application. However, if the opted exam centre is unavailable or has reached maximum capacity, the PSPCL authority will allot any other exam centres irrespective of the choice of the candidate. The details about examination centre, reporting date and time and other directions for attending the PSPCL exam will be mentioned on the admit card.
PSPCL does not accept any request to change the examination centre once it is allotted.
Candidates must bring the admit cards while appearing for the examination. Failure to produce admit cards will result in denying entry to the examination hall to attend the exam.
PSPCL examination has three phases which include, Computer-based Test, Written exam and Interview. The first phase, CBT, is a 100 mark paper. Each correct answer carries 1 mark and the wrong answer deducts 0.25 marks.

PSPCL conducts the selection process to various vacancies through three phases as mentioned earlier. After each phase, eligible candidates are shortlisted for the next phase of the selection process according to the merit list. The merit list is prepared by considering the marks scored by the candidate and the category to which the candidate belongs.
There is a reservation for candidates who belong to the categories mentioned by the PSPCL. The reservation should be claimed by filling it in the application for and producing the related documents when required. It is also to be noted that a candidate will only be considered for reservation if they are from Punjab domicile.

PSPCL results are announced after the completion of examination through the official website. Once the result is published, candidates can check their result by entering the login credentials. The merit list and category-wise merit lists will also be published for ranking purposes.
The PSPCL cut off marks required for general category is 45% and for reserved categories, it is 35%. After the publishing of the final merit list, candidates will be selected on the order of their merit.
PSPCL announces the available vacancies under each post on their website. When the vacancy list is published, the link for exam registration will also be open and active. Thousands of candidates normally apply for such vacancy notifications and only a smaller fraction of those applicants are selected for the job based on their merit. The pay scale offered for different job positions at PSPCL is decent and also has added benefits as it is a government job.

Ques. Are there any negative marking for wrong answers in the PSPCL exam?
Ans. Yes, there is negative marking for incorrect options in PSPCL exams. 1/4th of the marks allotted for the question will be deducted for wrong answers. As the CBT exam questions are 1 mark questions, the marks deducted for incorrect answers will be 0.25.

Ans. The general age criteria to be eligible to appear for PSPCL examination is 18 to 37 Years. However, PSPCL provides relaxation to these criteria for certain categories like backward communities, the family of service personnel, persons with disabilities etc.

Ans. PSPCL examination is bilingual. The question paper will have both Punjabi and English versions of questions for the ease of understanding of a wider category of candidates.

Ans. The documents required to apply for PSPCL are; A photograph of the candidate, the signature of the candidate. After the publication of the final merit list, selected candidates will be called for document verification. While appearing for document verification, the candidate should produce documents proving the educational qualification, caste certificates for candidates applied under reservation category, disability certificate for PwD candidates and other such relevant documents for reservation categories. Failure to produce valid documents may lead to cancellation of candidature.
