MPSC (Maharashtra Public Service Commission) 2021 Application and Registration

Maharashtra Public Service Commission 2020-21 notification was released on 23 December 2019. However, due to covid-19 outbreak, the examination could not be held. In the meantime, candidates should practise the previous years’ papers of MPSC Prelims and Mains Exam.

The application forms were available on the official website of MPSC. From 23 December 2019 the application process was started and it was continued till 13 January 2020. 

Crash Course

The registration process was completed with the application fee payment process. The application fees for the General and the SC/ST aspirants was Rs. 524 and Rs. 324 respectively. To pay the MPSC application fees, the aspirants could choose either online or offline mode.

MPSC exam is held to recruit candidates for the administration, police, engineering, forests, and other offices of the Government of Maharashtra. MPSC, a committee set under the Constitution of India, conducts around 15 exams for different departments every year at many MPSC exam centres spread across the state of Maharashtra.

MPSC Exam Date 2020-21

The MPSC admit card for the 2020-21 prelims exam has been released on 1 March 2021 and the exam has been further postponed to 21st March which was previously scheduled on 14 March. Go through the following table to know more about the important dates:

Important Points to Remember about MPSC Application 2020-21

Things to remember about the application:

  • The application fee for MPSC is INR 324 for SC/ST/OBC/PWD of Maharashtra and INR 524 for others.

  • The Email Id and the Contact number given by the students must be correct and active.
  • All the information filled in must be true and correct to the knowledge of the students.
  • MPSC will not entertain and consider any change in the details provided during the registration and application.
  • The students must regularly check the MPSC notification area on the website to stay updated regarding the dates of issuing Admit Cards, Exams, and other details.
  • The students must have the photocopies of the original Marksheets and Certifications.

Steps to Apply for MPSC 2020-21

  • To apply for the Prelims of MPSC 2021, the students have to register using their Email ID and contact number on the official website https://mpsc.gov.in after the registration starts, and before the due date mentioned in the notification issued by MPSC.
  • The students must note down the username and password provided after the registration for the later proceedings.
  • Then they have to fill in all the correct details and submit the application before the last date.
  • The aspirants also need to upload the scanned copies of the documents mentioned in the application form, such as the degrees and certificates.
  • In the case of students applying for reservation, they have to submit the adequate and corresponding certificates along with the rest of the documents.
  • Additionally to all the documents, the students have to upload their scanned copies of a recent passport-size photograph and a signature.
  • The dimensions of both the photograph and the signature should not be more than 4.5 X 3.5 cms.
  • The size of both the photograph and the signature should not be more than 50KB.

  • After filling all the details, the students must ‘Save’ their application.
  • The students have to pay the application fees online through Netbanking/Credit Card/Debit Card.
  • The aspirants can pay the application fees through offline mode (e-Challan and Maha e-Seva Kendra)

As far as age criteria is concerned, you are very much eligible to apply for the test as the permissible age limit is between 19 to 38 years for general category, while there will be age relaxation for different reserved categories. Apart from age, criterias of education, nationality etc. must also be satisfied to appear for the test.

Hello Chaitanya,

The maximum age limit to apply for MPSC is 33 for a general candidate. The upper age limit is relaxed for reserved category candidates- 3 years for an OBC candidate and 5 years for SC/ST.
