UPSC has released a notification for UPSC Indian Economic Service (IES) and Indian Statistical Service (ISS) 2020 exam having a total number of 47 vacancies. Candidates with a Bachelor's Degree with Statistics/Mathematical Statistics/Applied Statistics or Master's degree in Statistics/Mathematical Statistics/Applied Statistics under the age of 30 are eligible to apply for the exam. The application mode is online which gives candidates to apply from any corner through the internet. The application fees for Unreserved candidates are INR 200/- which can be paid through both online and offline. Read the article for further information on the application process.

How to apply for the UPSC IES/ISS 2020 Exam?

Part-I Registration

  1. Click on the official link,https://www.upsconline.nic.in.
  2. Click on the Apply link given on the page. A registration link will open up in the new window.
  3. Click on New Registration in the application window.
  4. Provide personal credentials like name, parents’ name, date of birth, email id, mobile number etc.
  5. Click on the submit button to the completed online registration form of SBI PO.
  6. After the Registration, a Registration ID and a password will be sent to your mobile no. and email id.
Prepp Test Series

Part-II Login

  1. Login with the provided Registration ID, date of birth and password to complete registration for UPSC IES ISS 2020.
  2. Upload the photograph and signature.
  3. The candidates will then be required to verify the details. Preview and verify the application form carefully.
  4. Lastly, pay the required application fee online.
  5. Take out a print out of the application form for future use.

Note:

  • Candidates are advised to submit an only single application. However, if due to any unavoidable situation, any candidate submits another/multiple applications, then he/she must ensure that application with the higher RID is complete in all respects.
  • All candidates, whether already in Government Service, or in Government owned industrial undertakings or other similar organizations or in private employment should submit their applications directly to the Commission.
  • While filling in his/her application form, the candidate should carefully decide about his/her choice for the centre for the Examination

Application Fee For UPSC IES/ ISS 2020

  • The application fees can be paid in both offline and online mode.
  • In the case of the online mode, you can use internet banking of SBI bank/VISA card/ Master card/Rupay card/Credit card /Debit card to pay the desired amount.
  • Those who select the option of ‘Pay by cash’ have to present pay in slip during registration. Visit the nearest SBI branch to pay the application fees.

Required Details in UPSC IES /ISS 2020 Application Form

The moment you start the application process of UPSC IES/ ISS 2020, you are going to be asked some questions related to your academic and personal life. Here are the details that you should collect before starting your application process:

FAQs

Ques. Will I be able to change my exam centre later in the UPSC IES/ISS Exam?

Ans. No, you will not be able to alter or make any changes in the application form once it is submitted.

Ques. Can I appear in another exam centre due to unavoidable circumstances?

Ans. No, If any candidate appears at a centre other than the one indicated by the Commission in his/her e-Admission Certificate, the papers of such a candidate will not be evaluated and his/her candidature will be liable to cancellation.

Ques. Can I resume the application process of the UPSC IES/ISS Exam?

Ans. No, in such cases, you have to submit a fresh application form and pay the application fees.

Ques. Is any sort of hard copy of the document required to be submitted?

Ans. Ans. No, Candidates are not required to submit the hard copy of their application to the Commission at this stage.

Ques. Will the application fees be refunded if the application is withdrawn?

Ans. No, UPSC has no provision to refund any fee amount paid by candidates so even in case of successful withdrawal of application, the fees will not be refunded.

Ques. I applied twice for the same post of UPSC IES/ISS Exam. What should I do now?

Ans. You have nothing to worry about. If you have applied for more than once, your application with higher Registration Id will be considered.
