Haryana Public Service Commission (HPSC) is the public service commission of the state of Haryana. The examination is conducted by the authority to recruit individuals for different posts in the government departments in the state.

As per the notification by HPSC, the organization will recruit candidates for several posts like Election Tehsildar, Assistant Director, Audit Professor, Assistant Registrar Cooperative Societies, Assistant Excise & Taxation Officer, Block Development & Panchayat Officer, etc. The Haryana Public Service Commission along with releasing the notification of the examination declared a list of probable examination centres to conduct the exam. Candidates can select the exam centre of their choice while filling the application form of the exam.

  • Candidates can select up to three preferred exam centres for Preliminary examination.
  • Only those candidates who clear the Preliminary examination are allowed to appear for the Mains examination.
  • Also, the qualified candidates are allowed to select only one examination centre for Mains Examination.
  • Candidates have the choice of selecting their own preferred examination centre. The council will allow the preferred location as per the availability.
  • The commission will not accept any request for the change of centre for Examination after the application process.

HPSC Examination Centers

While applying for the examination, candidates will be given the following choices for the names of centres for the Preliminary and Mains Examination. Candidates will have the choice of selecting three preferred centres. One of these three centres will be allotted to the candidates by HPSC as per the availability. Candidates will have to be present in the respective centre only and will not be allowed to appear in the examination from a different centre.

The exam centres are being set up in the following cities:

Panchkula
Kurukshetra
Yamunanagar
Ambala

The decision regarding the allotment of the examination centre will be taken by HPSC only and their decision will be full and final. No request in the change of examination centre will be entertained once the application form is filled and the centre is allotted.

Note:

  • HPSC has all the rights to cancel any of the HPSC Exam centres or add any other centre depending upon the availability.
  • HPSC will not encourage any request in the change in the examination enter once the application form is filled and the centre is allotted by HPSC.
  • Candidates will have to appear for the examination only from the allocated test centre. Applicants must reach their examination centre at their own expense.
  • HPSC has the right to allot the candidate any centre other than the one he/she has opted for depending upon the number of candidates appearing from the exam center feasibility etc.
  • The examination conducting authority will not be responsible for any losses or injury of any nature during the course of the examination.
  • There will be no arrangements regarding the boarding of the candidates to and from the examination centre.

HPSC Exam Centers: Center Instructions

HPSC Examination will be conducted at the preferred exam centres on the allotted time. The venue, date, and time of the examination will be mentioned on the admit card and the call letter of the Mains examination. Here are some of the instructions that have been specified by HPSC for the candidates. Students must read them in detail and follow them strictly.

  • Candidates are required to carry the following documents to the exam centre.
    • HPSC Examination Admit Card
    • A valid Photo ID
  • Candidates have to choose from the given list of examination centres in the application form itself.
  • HPSC has all the rights to cancel any of the examination centres or add any other examination centre depending upon the response and availability.
  • For the maximum number of times, candidates will be allotted the examination centre at his/ her own choice. However, HPSC has the right to allot the candidate any other centre other than the one he/ she has opted for.
  • No request for the change in the examination centre will be entertained by HPSC once the candidate has filled the application form and has been allotted with the preferred examination centre.
  • Candidates will be completely responsible for any kind of loss or injury at the examination centre. HPSC authority won’t be responsible for that.

Ques. How many stages are there in HPSC Examination?

Ans. The HPSC Civil Services Examination will be conducted in three stages:

  • Preliminary Examination: This is the objective examination that consists of two papers of General Aptitude and General Science. Both the papers are of objective type. These are qualifying in nature.
  • Mains Examination: Mains examination has 9 papers, 2 languages, 5 General Science, and 2 Optional papers. All of them are subjective papers and are counted in merit.
  • Interview: The last and final stage of the recruitment process is the Interview round.

Ques. How can I select the exam centre of my choice?

Ans. The choice of the examination centres will be given to the candidates while filling the application form. Candidates can select the exam centre of their choice from the given list according to the preference. HPSC will allot the examination centre of the candidate’s choice as per the availability and feasibility.

Ques. When does the student get the confirmation of their examination centre?

Ans. Students get to know their final examination centre after the release of the admit card. HPSC confirms the examination centre on the admit card.

Ques. What is the eligibility to appear for the HPSC Examination?

Ans. In order to be eligible for the HPSC Exam, candidates must fulfil the following eligibility conditions.

  • Candidates must have passed graduation or must have held a relevant degree from a recognized University.
  • Candidates must satisfy certain age criteria in order to be eligible for the post of D.S.P. The minimum age required is 21 years and the maximum age should be 27 years. For the other posts, the age limit can be in between 21 to 42 years.
