Candidates must also note that-

The reserved category candidates who apply for unreserved category posts will have no eligibility relaxation in the minimum percentage of marks.
Candidates have 05 years B.Tech + M.E/M. Tech. integrated dual degree in engineering in a relevant discipline with a minimum percentage of marks in the essential qualification(s), as specified, shall also be considered for recruitment.
Candidates who have completed their Bachelor’s in 2023 are eligible to apply.
Candidates who are in the final year of their Bachelor’s degree are eligible to apply.
Candidates who have completed their Bachelor's degree in Engineering in 2022 or earlier are not eligible to apply for Executive trainee GAIL recruitment through GATE 2026.
If any candidate has shared false information then the GAIL authorities have the right to reject a candidate’s application.

The upper Age Limit for GAIL recruitment through GATE 2026 is 26 years as of March 15, 2026 for the Executive Trainee posts in all engineering disciplines. The GAIL recruitment through GATE 2026age limit for the candidates and also the age relaxations are given in the table below:

GAIL GATE Recruitment 2027: Medical Standard

Candidates must go through the detailed guidelines on Medical Standards and Pre‐ Employment Medical Examination before they apply. Candidates can find the document in the “Careers” section of the GAIL website.

Candidates must be physically and mentally fit according to the organisation's Pre-Employment Medical Requirements.
Pre-Employment Medica Examinations must be taken at a Central/State Government Hospital or a hospital which is on GAIL's list of preferred providers.
Candidates must submit their medical reports in the formats specified by the Medical Authority before they can start working for the company.
The Medical Fitness Certificates granted by the Medical Authority are then subject to final approval by GAIL designated Chief Medical Officer (CMO).
Candidate’s Medical Examination report may be reexamined or reviewed by GAIL without explanation, and the decision of the designated CMO would be final and binding.

How to Apply Online for GAIL Recruitment Through GATE 2027?

To apply for GAIL Recruitment, candidates would need their GATE 2026 Registration Number. The steps to apply are given below.

Step 1: Candidates will be required to apply online through the GAIL official website.
Step 2: The passport-size photograph affixed by the candidates should be the same as submitted along with the GATE 2026 application form.
Step 3: Candidates must submit the document supporting Date of Birth proof and semester/year-wise mark sheet, degree, and Diploma certificates starting from matriculation.
Step 4: Candidates need to produce the original GATE 2026 admit card, GATE 2026 official scorecard, a printout of the online application form, and other relevant documents when called for document verification by GAIL.

GAIL Recruitment through GATE 2027: Selection Process

The Selection Process for GAIL Recruitment through GATE 2026 is mentioned below:

Candidates will be shortlisted based on their scores at GATE 2026, for the role of Executive Trainee.
Candidates are selected for Group Discussions and Personal Interviews after being shortlisted.
After that, the selected candidates will be called in for a final selection which is based on Medical Fitness in Pre -Employment Medical Examination.
GATE results from 2022 or earlier will be considered as invalid. The recruitment process will only be based on GATE 2026 scores.
Candidates applying without a valid GATE 2026 registration will not be considered for recruitment.
A candidate can apply for one post or discipline only. Those candidates who apply for more than one position will not be considered.
Candidates have to qualify for all the stages of the selection process in order to be considered for final selection.
In addition to the original documents candidates will need to bring their GATE 2026 admit card, GATE 2026 official scorecard, and a copy of their online application form.
