IIT Madras has released the GATE 2027 Notification on July 20, 2026. GATE 2027 registration will begin on Sep 2, 2026 after being rescheduled, and candidates can apply online until Sep 27, 2026. The exam will be conducted on Feb 6, 7, 13, 14, 20, and 21, 2027, across 30 test papers. This year, GATE has introduced Robotics & Automation as a new test paper, along with syllabus revisions for several papers. The exam will be conducted in CBT mode for admission to postgraduate programmes and recruitment in PSUs.

GATE 2027 Application Process
GATE 2027 application process will be conducted online through the GOAPS (GATE Online Application Processing System) portal. The registration window will open on September 2, 2026, and candidates can submit their applications without a late fee until Sept 27, 2026. Candidates who miss the regular deadline can apply with a late fee as per the schedule announced by IIT Madras.

- Final Year Students: Students in the final year of their degree programs are eligible to apply.
- Minimum Qualification Year: Candidates who will complete their degree by 2027–2027 are eligible to appear.

GATE Admit Card 2027
GATE 2027 Admit Card will be released online on the official GOAPS portal before the exam. Registered candidates can download it using their login credentials.
