BSF Constable Selection Process 2025

BSF Constable follows a structured multi-stage recruitment process designed to assess the candidate’s written aptitude, physical fitness, trade proficiency, and medical fitness.

• Physical Standards Test (PST) & Physical Efficiency Test (PET)

  Candidates must meet height/chest benchmarks (PST) and complete timed physical tasks (PET), which prove their physical suitability for duties.

• Written Examination

  Candidates appear for an objective written test measuring general awareness, mathematics, reasoning, and language.

• Document Verification & Trade Test

  Candidates clear their educational, category, and trade certificates. For applicable trades, a hands-on trade test is done to evaluate job-specific skills.

• Detailed Medical Examination

  This is the final stage: a medical board verifies vision, anatomical fitness, and absence of disqualifying health conditions to ensure field readiness.

In BSF Constable written exam, candidates must achieving the minimum qualifying marks for progression to next stages in the recruitment process. Only candidates who meet or exceed the prescribed cutoff are shortlisted for subsequent stages, including the PST, PET, document verification, trade test, and medical examination.
