BPSC (Bihar Public Service Commission) 2021 Admit Card

The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) is responsible to conduct the Combined Competitive Examination 2021. The e-Admit Cards will be available on the website of the Commission. An official notification announcing the release of Admit cards will be given. Candidates will be able to open the link within 10 – 15 days prior to the exam dates.

There has been a lot of confusion and disruptions in the application and examination procedures due to the global COVID-19 pandemic. The 65th CCE (Mains) for the year 2019 had to be delayed. BPSC has not yet released the advertisement for the 66th Combined Competitive Examination 2020, though the commission’s official exam calendar states that the preliminary test for the said exam will be held by the end of June. Nevertheless, the notification is expected to be released soon.

June 18: Last date for accepting applications for 65th Combined (Mains) Competitive Examination re-extended.

May 29: Dates for online application form submission for Combined (Mains) Competitive Examination 2019 extended.

March 6: Results announced for 65th BPSC Combined (Preliminary) Competitive Examination.

February 12: e-Admit card released for Combined (Preliminary) Competitive Re-Examination 2019.

How to download BPSC Admit Card?

BPSC Admit Card will be available online. All the credentials provided at the time of application by the candidate or by the authority must be readily available with them. Detailed steps to download the Admit Card are given as follows:

Step 1: Visit the official website of BPSC (www.bpsc.bih.in).

Step 2: Find the Login page and open it.

Step 3: Enter the username and password provided at the time of registration for application. Solve the security captcha and proceed.

Step 4: On entering Log in, a new window will appear on the display screen where Admit card option will blink. Open it.

Step 5: Candidate’s Admit Card will appear.

Step 6: Check if all the details are correct and true to knowledge.

Step 7: Download the Admit Card.

Step 8: Print out some copies of the same.

Before printing the e-Admit Card, candidates must ensure that they have a stable internet connection and a working printer. Any network glitches may cause problems in downloading the admit card. If candidates do not have a printer at home, it won’t be of any problem. They can download their BPSC Admit Card, save it in the cloud storage of their device and print it later.

Details contained in the BPSC Admit Card

The BPSC Admit Card will contain details as follows:

  • Candidate’s name
  • Guardian’s name
  • Applicant’s Gender (Male / Female)
  • Date of Birth
  • Registration number
  • Roll number
  • Candidate’s caste category (Gen./OBC/SC/ST/EWS/PwD)
  • Exam centre address
  • Date of exam
  • Time of exam and reporting time
  • Photograph of the applicant
  • Slot for candidate’s signature (to be signed in the presence of examiner)
  • Space for examiner’s signature

Documents required on BPSC Exam day

The BPSC Admit Card is the sole document that will allow the applicant to enter the exam centre. So, candidates should carry their Admit cards mandatorily. Along with it they will have to carry any of the following Government authorised ID (original copy) for identification and verification.

  • Aadhaar card
  • PAN Card
  • Driving license
  • Voter ID
  • Passport
  • Any other valid photo ID proof

Candidates whose admit cards have unclear images of their photograph or signature will have to fill up a declaration form from the website and produce a hard copy of it on the exam day. Such applicants are required to carry two passport size photographs and a photocopy of their photo ID. The passport size photographs must be attested by a gazetted officer.

Important Instructions

The admit card will contain some instructions to follow when appearing for the examination. In addition, some important points that are to be taken care of have been listed below.

  • Any electronic gadgets like mobile phone, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, pager, electronic pen, the smartwatch will not be allowed inside the examination hall.
  • Among stationeries, candidates can carry only a blue or black pen to mark their answers on the OMR sheet.
  • Erasers, blades, or whiteners should not be carried inside the examination hall.
  • Applicants themselves will have to make arrangements to keep their belongings safely at the exam centre. The Commission will not be responsible for such arrangements.
  • Avoid downloading or printing out the admit card on the last day the link is active; there may be instances of technical glitches. Complete this task at the earliest.
  • Do not misplace the Admit Card. Print out some copies of it and keep them safe in case of emergencies.
  • It is advisable to visit the exam centre before the final day of the test to reach there on time.
  • On the exam day, leave for the exam centre as early as possible to avoid any last-minute rush.

FAQs

Ques. Will the commission provide a hard copy of my Admit Card? Will it be posted to my address?

Ans. No. The Commission, under no circumstances, will publish a hard copy of the admit card or post it on the correspondence address given by the candidate. A link will be available on the website to download and print the admit card. Candidates will have to follow the website.

Ques. I have lost the credentials for logging in to my profile on the BPSC website. What should I do?

Ans. The username and password are very important and must be stored safely. However, if these have been lost, it can be retrieved again from the website itself. Follow the steps.

  1. Open the ‘Log in page’.
  2. Find ‘Forgot Username and Password’ link and click on it.
  3. Provide the registration number, DOB and a registered mobile number asked on the new window.
  4. If the registration number is also not available, select the exam applied for.
  5. Resolve the captcha.
  6. Click on ‘Retrieve Password’.
  7. Necessary credentials will be displayed.
