This is the third time that SEBI has extended the last date to apply for Grade A Officer Recruitment 2020 due to COVID-19 ongoing situation. Previously the last date of application and payments were on May 31, 2020. SEBI Grade A 2020: Eligibility criteria

For the post of SEBI Grade A 2020, the basic eligibility criteria are conditions of educational qualification and age limit. Candidates are permitted to apply for a maximum of 2 streams only for which he/she is eligible to apply, based on their educational qualifications. SEBI Grade A 2020: Application Process

Candidates who have not applied for SEBI Grade A 2020 as well as wish to apply yet very confused about the application process of this exam, can follow the below-mentioned steps while applying :

  1. Go to SEBI’s official website [www.sebi.gov.in ]
  2. Open the link “Careers”.
  3. Then open the Recruitment Notification entitled “SEBI RECRUITMENT EXERCISE -RECRUITMENT OF OFFICER GRADE A (ASSISTANT MANAGER) -2020”
  4. Click on the option "APPLY ONLINE" which will open a new window.
  5. Choose the tab "CLICK HERE FOR NEW REGISTRATION"
  6. Enter Name, Contact details and Email-ID.
  7. A Provisional Registration Number and Password will be generated by the system and displayed on the screen.
  8. Candidates should note down the Provisional Registration Number and Password.
  9. An Email & SMS indicating the Provisional Registration number and Password will also be sent.
  10. In case the candidate is unable to complete the application form in one go, he/ she can save the data already entered by choosing the "SAVE AND NEXT" tab. Prior to submission of the online application, candidates are advised to use the "SAVE AND NEXT" facility to verify the details in the online application form and modify the same if required.
  11. Applicants are advised to carefully fill and verify the details filled in the online application themselves as no change will be possible/ entertained after clicking the “FINAL SUBMIT” BUTTON.
  12. Your name and the name of your Father/ Husband etc. should be spelt correctly in the application as it appears in the Certificates/ Mark sheets. Any change/alteration found may disqualify the candidature.
  13. Validate your details and Save your application by clicking the “VALIDATE YOUR DETAILS” and “SAVE & NEXT” button.
  14. You can proceed to upload Photo, Signature, Left Thumb impression and handwriting declaration as per the specifications given in the Guidelines mentioned below.
  15. Click on the Preview Tab to preview and verify the entire application form before “FINAL SUBMIT”.
  16. Modify details, if required, and click on “FINAL SUBMIT” only after verifying and ensuring that the photograph, signature uploaded and other details filled by you are correct.
  17. Click on “PAYMENT” Tab and proceed for payment.
  18. Click on the “SUBMIT” button.

It is duly advised that you should download your SEBI Admit Card 2020 within a few days after they release it on their official website. This will save you from last-minute hustle and time. Candidates will not be allowed in the exam hall of SEBI 2020 without the hard copy of the admit card. SEBI Exam Centers

SEBI Grade A 2020: Exam Centers

At the time of filling the application form, candidates have to choose an exam centre. The Phrase-I will be conducted in approximately 100+ cities all over India. The Phrase-II of SEBI 2020 will be allocated in almost every state.

The Admit Card should reflect the same location of your exam venue as what you have chosen. Once chosen, candidates cannot amend the exam centre later. SEBI Grade A 2020: Exam Pattern

  • For various posts, SEBI conducts 2 examinations: Phrase-I and Phase-II
  • Phrase-I online screening examination consists of 2 papers, each paper of 100 marks.
  • Phrase-II online examination also consists of 2 papers, each of 100 marks.
  • Only the candidates qualify Phrase-I will be eligible to attempt Phrase-II of SEBI Grade A.
  • The papers will be of multiple-choice questions.
  • There will be negative marking for wrong answers.

SEBI Grade A 2020: Phase-I Exam Pattern:

An online screening examination consists of two papers (Multiple Choice questions of 100 marks each). This test has been announced to be held on April 12, 2020. However, considering the effect of COVID-19 on the nation, it is postponed with no further notice.

SEBI Grade A 2020: Phase-II Exam Pattern

  • Candidates shortlisted for Phase II will be issued new Hall Tickets.
  • Paper II will be conducted in various shifts for the candidates applying in multiple streams, the timings of which will be intimated in the Hall Ticket.
  • There is provision of negative marking of 1/4th for Paper 2 in Phase II (except IT stream for).
  • An aggregate mark of 40 % is required to score in Phase-II to qualify.
  • Candidates who will qualify the Phase II will only be called for the final stage of Interview.

SEBI Grade A 2020: Phase 2 Syllabus

The paper-I for Phase-II exam is common for all and is a descriptive type English exam to check the drafting skill of the candidate. Its syllabus comprises basic grammar and comprehension skills. SEBI Grade A Selection procedure is based on 3 major stages:

  • The candidates have to acquire the minimum cut-off marks in the Phase-I Exam so that they qualify for phase-II. The candidate has to meet an aggregate of 40% for both papers in Phase-I to qualify. A minimum cut-off 30% in individual papers is required.
  • Only those candidates who are eligible and qualified for the Phase-I exam can download phase-II call letters from the website.
  • Candidates will be called for the interview only if they qualify the phase-II exam. minimum 30% in paper-1 and 40% in paper-2 along with 40% aggregate is required to qualify the exam.
  • The final merit list is prepared based on the Phase-II exam and the interview marks together.

SEBI Grade A 2020: Cutoffs and Results

SEBI Grade A- Salary Structure

The pay scale of the SEBI Grade A Manager is INR 28150-1550(4)-343501750(7)-46600-EB-1750(4) -53600- 2000(1)-55600 (17 years). The in-hand salary can be either with accommodations or without accommodation and there is a major difference depending on this factor.

  • Without accommodation, the per month in-hand salary is INR 1,07,000 and with accommodation the salary is approximately INR 73,000. These figures are inclusive of all the perks, and allowances.
  • The basic pay is approximately INR 28, 150 for a Grade-A officer.
  • For the first 5 years of service, there is an annual increment of INR 1550.
  • From 6-12th year, the increment of basic pay is annually done at the rate of INR 1750 per month.
  • Till the 17th year of service, the annual increment of the basic pay will be INR 2000 per month.
