RRB ALP 2018 question papers and answer keys are available in PDF format for candidates to download. RRB conducted this recruitment under CEN 01/2018 for both ALP and Technician posts. The 1st Stage CBT for RRB ALP was held on August 9, 10, 13, 14, 17, 20, 21, 29, 30, and 31, 2018, across multiple shifts. Candidates who cleared this stage proceeded to the 2nd Stage CBT, which was initially planned for December 12 and 24, 2018, but was later conducted on January 21, 22, and 23, 2019.

RRB ALP 2018 exam followed a two-stage CBT pattern. The Stage 1 CBT included 75 objective questions to be completed in 60 minutes, covering Mathematics, General Intelligence & Reasoning, General Science, and Current Affairs. Qualified candidates then appeared for the Stage 2 CBT, which consisted of two parts: Part A had 100 questions to be answered in 90 minutes on technical subjects, reasoning, mathematics, and basic science, while Part B contained 75 questions in 60 minutes focused on trade-specific knowledge.
