Who wrote the memoir 'The Second Orbit: Belief of a Man… Dreams of 1.4 Billion Hearts', which was released by Air Chief Marshal Amar Preet Singh in June 2026?
Shubhanshu Shukla
Group Captain Shubhanshu Shukla of the Indian Air Force flew as mission pilot on the Axiom-4 mission in 2025 and became the first Indian to visit the International Space Station, and only the second Indian to travel to space. He is also one of the astronaut-designates for India's Gaganyaan mission.
His memoir, 'The Second Orbit: Belief of a Man… Dreams of 1.4 Billion Hearts', was released in June 2026 by Air Chief Marshal Amar Preet Singh, the Chief of the Air Staff. The title reflects his journey as the second Indian in orbit after Rakesh Sharma.
Rakesh Sharma was the first Indian in space in 1984, Angad Pratap is a fellow Gaganyaan astronaut-designate, and Air Chief Marshal Amar Preet Singh released the book but is not its author.
Hence, Shubhanshu Shukla.
