The correct answer is

Pandit Shivkumar Sharma

The Santoor is a hundred-stringed hammered dulcimer originally used in Kashmiri Sufiana Mausiqi. Before the twentieth century it was not considered a full classical concert instrument.

Pandit Shivkumar Sharma (1938-2022) redesigned the instrument, expanded its range and evolved playing techniques that allowed it to render the full alap-jor-jhala structure of Hindustani classical music. Through concerts and recordings in India and abroad, and through the famous Shiv-Hari duo with Pandit Hariprasad Chaurasia, he brought the Santoor to global audiences.

Pandit Ravi Shankar is associated with the sitar, Pandit Hariprasad Chaurasia with the bansuri, and Ustad Amjad Ali Khan with the sarod, so they do not match the Santoor.

Hence, the Santoor was globally popularised by Pandit Shivkumar Sharma.
