The main aim of ‘Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan’ is ................
Universalization of Elementary Education
Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA) was launched by the Government of India in 2000-01 as the flagship programme to achieve Universalization of Elementary Education (UEE) in a time-bound manner for children aged 6-14 years.
Its goals included universal access and enrolment, retention, bridging gender and social gaps and improving quality of elementary education. It later became the vehicle for implementing the RTE Act, 2009, and was merged into Samagra Shiksha in 2018.
Universalization of secondary education is the aim of Rashtriya Madhyamik Shiksha Abhiyan (RMSA, 2009), and integrated or special education are only components, not its main aim.
Hence, the main aim of Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan is Universalization of Elementary Education.
