SSC GD 2018 Question Paper Hindi (09-Mar-2019) (Shift 1)
The correct answer is

34.83

Average Calculation: Initial Sum

The initial average of 50 numbers is given as 36.

The sum of these 50 numbers can be calculated as:

Sum = Average × Number of items

Sum = $50 \times 36 = 1800$

Sum After Discarding Numbers

Two numbers, 63 and 65, are discarded. The sum of these two numbers is:

Sum of discarded numbers = $63 + 65 = 128$

The new sum after discarding these numbers is:

New Sum = Initial Sum - Sum of discarded numbers

New Sum = $1800 - 128 = 1672$

Average of Remaining Numbers

After discarding two numbers, the total count of numbers becomes:

New Count = Initial Count - Number of discarded items

New Count = $50 - 2 = 48$

The average of the remaining 48 numbers is calculated as:

New Average = New Sum / New Count

New Average = $\frac{1672}{48}$

New Average $\approx 34.8333...$

Rounding to two decimal places, the new average is 34.83.
