The robot is called Manav — option 4.

What it is. Manav — the Hindi word for “human” — was developed by A-SET Training and Research Institutes in Mumbai, under Diwakar Vaish, and unveiled in 2014. It stands about 2 feet high and weighs some 2 kg, and its body was made by 3D printing, which is what gives it its place in the record. It can walk, dance, respond to voice commands and see through a camera, and it was designed as an open-source research platform for humanoid robotics rather than as a commercial product.

Why 3D printing matters here. Additive manufacturing builds an object layer by layer from a digital model, which allows shapes that cannot be moulded or machined, and makes one-off parts cheap because no tooling is needed. For robotics that is decisive: a research team can redesign a limb and print a new one overnight. The technique is now used for prosthetics, dental implants, aerospace parts, and even printed housing.

The other names. Mitra, option 3, is a genuine and well-known Indian robot — built by Invento Robotics of Bengaluru, used in hotels, hospitals and banks, and famously used by the Prime Minister and Ivanka Trump to inaugurate an event at Hyderabad in 2017. But it is not 3D printed and is not the answer here. “Indro” and “Robcop” are not Indian robots of note; the second is an echo of the film title.

Other Indian robots worth knowing : Vyommitra, the half-humanoid ISRO built to fly on the uncrewed Gaganyaan test missions, and RoboCop-style police robots deployed experimentally in Kerala as KP-Bot.

Hence, the answer is Manav.
