A man walks from his home to office. From home he walks 6 km west, then he turns to his right and walk 5 km, again he turns to his right and walk 10 km, again he turns right and walk 1 km and he turns left and walk 1 km and finally takes a right turn and walk 4 km to reach his office. Where is his office with respect to home?

The correct answer is

5 km East

Taking the initial walk as West, the successive right/left turns give directions West(6), North(5), East(10), South(1), East(1), South(4). Net East-West displacement = −6+10+1 = +5 (East); net North-South displacement = 5−1−4 = 0. So the office is 5 km east of home, matching option (C).
