Question

A dice has its faces named by three letters (A, P, Z) and three symbols (Ω, λ, δ). Two positions of the same dice are given below. Which face is opposite to face Ω?

The correct answer is

λ

Faces of the dice: A, P, Z, Ω, λ and δ. A face can never be adjacent to the face opposite it.

From the first position, λ is adjacent to A and Z.
From the second position, λ is adjacent to P and δ.

So λ touches A, Z, P and δ, which are four different faces. The only face left that does not touch λ is Ω.
= λ is opposite Ω

Check: Each face has exactly four neighbours; λ's four neighbours are A, Z, P, δ, so Ω must be the face directly across from it.

Hence, λ.
