NICL AO Application Process 2026

Here are the steps to apply online for NICL AO 2026:

Step 1 – New Registration

Visit the registration portal. On the next page, click “Click here for New Registration.” Candidates must enter their name, mobile number, and email address. Once submitted, a Provisional Registration Number and Password will be generated by the system and sent via SMS and email. These credentials should be saved for future logins. Click here to visit the registration portal.

Step 2 – Fill out the Online Application Form

Using the registration number and password, candidates must log in to the portal and complete the application form. The form includes sections for personal details, academic qualifications, address, category, and the post/discipline being applied for. The “Save & Next” option allows applicants to save their progress and revisit the form later, which is especially useful if all details or documents aren’t available in one go.

Step 3 – Upload Required Documents

Candidates are required to upload four scanned documents as per NICL specifications:

  • Passport-size Photograph (20–50 KB, 200x230 pixels, clear face, light background)
  • Signature in black ink on white paper (10–20 KB, not in capital letters)
  • Left Thumb Impression in black or blue ink on white paper (20–50 KB)
  • Handwritten Declaration in English, written clearly on white paper (50–100 KB)

Each file should be in JPG or JPEG format. Uploading the wrong image or placing a photo and signature in the wrong fields can lead to rejection.

Step 4 – Preview and Validate the Application

Once all details are filled and documents uploaded, candidates should click on the “Preview” tab to see the complete application. This is the last chance to make corrections. Any discrepancy may result in disqualification. After careful verification, candidates can click “Complete Registration.”

Step 5 – Pay the Application Fee

After registration is complete, proceed to the “Payment” section. The fee structure is as follows:

  • SC/ST/PwBD: ₹250 (Intimation charges only)
  • All others: ₹1000 (Application + Intimation)

Payment can be made using debit card, credit card, internet banking, UPI, IMPS, or mobile wallets. The fee portal is integrated with the application form.

Step 6 – Submit and Print the Application

After payment is confirmed, click “Submit” to complete the application. Candidates should download and print:

  • The completed application form
  • The payment receipt

These documents may be required during the document verification or interview stages. It is strongly advised to store soft and hard copies for future reference.
