NDA I 2020 Dates has announced on the official website of UPSC. As per the notification released on January 6, 2020, the online NDA I Application Form 2020 was filled till January 28, 2020. Candidates who wish to join Defence Services such as Army, Navy, and Air Force wings after completion of class XII need to appear for NDA 2020

NDA is a national level examination which is conducted by UPSC (Union Public Service Commission). It is a written examination which is conducted twice a year i.e. in the month of April and November. NDA I was scheduled to be held on April 19, 2020 but due to COVID – 19 the exam has been postponed.

NDA 2020: Application Form Dates

Candidates have to fill the form online in two parts Registration Part 1 and Registration Part 2. Part 1 of the Registration includes filling of personal and academic details of the candidate. In the next part of the NDA Application Form 2020, the candidate has to upload the photograph and signature, mention payment details and choice of NDA Exam Center. The fee payment is the succeeding step post completion of the Application Process for NDA.

NDA 2020: Release of Admit Card

Candidates receive the NDA Admit Card on the official website. NDA Admit Card is a mandatory document to be carried to NDA Exam Center along with a valid ID proof and 2 passport sized photographs.

The Admit Card for NDA is different for each exam i.e. NDA 1 and NDA 2. The candidates must follow the important instructions mentioned before beginning the download process. UPSC releases NDA Admit Card which can be accessed by entering the registration ID and date of birth.

NDA Exam Dates 2020

NDA exam is conducted offline i.e. it is a pen and paper-based examination. NDA exam is divided into two sections i.e. Mathematics and General Ability as per the NDA Exam Pattern. The Mathematics section contains multiple-choice questions with a total weightage of 300 marks. The medium of NDA exam is English and Hindi both. The duration for both Mathematics paper and General Ability test is 2.5 hours each.

The General Ability Test contains objective questions based on General English and General Knowledge with a weightage of 600 marks in total. Negative marking prevails in NDA, thus, the candidate must carefully mark the choices in the answer sheet. The candidates can practice for the NDA exam through syllabus based NDA Practice Papers.

NDA 2020: Result Date

The candidates can check the NDA Result on the official website of the UPSC. The candidate must retain the Application Number and Date of Birth or Password to view the result for NDA. The conducting authority releases the NDA Cut off so that the candidates can compare their scores to the minimum scores required for admission to the desired courses.

The conducting body also releases an official NDA Answer Key on the official website for the candidates. The NDA Answer Key is released two weeks after conduction of the NDA exam. The candidates can check and predict the NDA Result through the NDA Answer Key.

NDA 2020: Selection Process Dates

The NDA Selection is a two-stage process which involves conduction of written test in Stage 1 and SSB interview in Stage 2. The candidates have to appear for psychological and intelligence tests on the first day of reporting to the Selection Centers/Air Force Selection Boards. The candidates must note that they will be marked out of 900 for both stages collectively during the NDA Selection Process.

The candidates who clear Stage 1 qualify for Stage 2 of the Selection Process for NDA. The candidates who clear the entire selection process for NDA are mentioned in the Final Merit List generated by the Board. The candidates who clear the entire process have to submit the original and photocopy of the Class 10 Certificate and Class 12 Passing Certificate.

How do I correct wrong home address in NDA (UPSC) application form?

Hi Arunava. In case you have completed registration of both parts, i.e part 1 and 2 , in NDA application and have submitted the same, then you can’t make changes in it. But in case you have not done so, you can edit the details again in the 1st part by clicking in PART 1 in the website. If Earlier, the selection board for NDA sent call letter at the mentioned address, due to which address mattered a lot. But now, candidates receive emails, so in case they have correctly entered their email address, they can get call letter (only when they clear written exam).

Hi Arunava. Till now there is no information regarding to postponement of exam. A common entrance test is scheduled to be conducted for NDA exam on September 6, 2020.

Hi Sam. NDA 2020 which is scheduled to be conducted on September 6, 2020 will not be postponed again. UPSC has already released the admit cards for NDA1 and NDA 2 in August 10 and NDA exams will be conducted under CIVID- 19 protocols. So candidates appearing for NDA exams are suggested to follow maintain social distancing norms.

Is there any chance of postponing the NDA 1st 2020 exam?

Hi Ankit, Both NDA 1 and 2 exams are scheduled to be taken offline on September 6 and the admit cards for the exams are released by the authorities. So there are almost no chances that these exams will be postponed again.
NDA 1 exam was actually scheduled to be conducted on April 19, 2020; but amid COVID-19 pandemic, these exams were postponed.
