Cut off marks are the minimum marks scored by the candidate in order to be eligible for the further stages of the recruitment process. Cut off will be declared by the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS). IBPS SO exam will be conducted in three stages i.e. Prelims, Main and Personal Interview.
The IBPS SO 2021 Cut-offs are released on the official website of IBPS. They are very easy to check and download. Following are the steps to do so.
IBPS releases two separate Cut off lists i.e. Provisional Allotment and Reserve List before the IBPS SO final result is released. Both the lists are explained as below:
Provisional Allotment: Provisional Allotment in IBPS SO is defined as the lowest marks that students have to obtain provisionally allotted in any of the participating banks. Provisional Allotment will be calculated out of 100 and after eliminating ties on the date of birth basis.
Reserve List: IBPS will prepare the backup list which will be the final waiting list to fill up to 10% reserved vacancies for each category in the participating banks. Students in the reserve list will not be considered for provisional allotment.
So, the maximum and minimum IBPS Specialist Officer Cut off for different previous years is tabulated below as category-wise and post-wise.
The marks obtained by the students in the Prelims exam will not be counted in the final merit list. IBPS Cut off marks will be decided on the basis of various following factors:
The cut-off for IBPS SO 2020 and 2021 have not been released yet. However, the candidates preparing for the exam must have an idea of the cut-offs. Thus we have provided a list of cut-offs of a few previous years’ for the better understanding of the aspirants.

The selection of the candidates is done based on merit. The merit list is prepared on the basis of the marks obtained by the candidates in all the stages of the examination. Candidates qualifying for IBPS SO Prelim and IBPS SO Main are eligible to participate in the Personal Interview stage of IBPS. Merit list is prepared based on marks scored in the Main exam and Personal Interview. The final result of the SBI PO is declared on the official website after all the stages have been taken.
