AP Police Constable Age Limit 2026

AP Police Constable Age Limit 2026 is calculated as on July 1, 2026. For candidates other than eligible Home Guards, the prescribed age is 18 to 24 years.

For the Home Guard relaxation, the candidate must be a local candidate of Andhra Pradesh, be serving as a Home Guard in the AP Police Department on the date of notification, have completed at least 360 days of Home Guard service during the preceding two years and continue in service on the notification date.

AP Police Constable Age Relaxation 2026

AP Police Constable 2026 age relaxation is available to eligible categories as per the conditions specified in the notification and applicable government rules.

For eligible widows, divorced and judicially separated women, the maximum age is 42 years for SC/ST candidates and 37 years for other candidates, subject to the prescribed conditions and documents.

The age relaxation available to AP State Government employees does not extend to employees of APTRANSCO, DISCOMs, APGENCO, corporations, municipalities, local bodies and similar organisations where specifically excluded under the notification.

AP Police Constable Physical Standards 2026

AP Police Constable 2026 candidates must fulfil the prescribed Physical Measurement Test (PMT) requirements. Physical standards differ for men and women and are relaxed for candidates belonging to specified agency areas.

The relaxed standards apply to candidates from the specified agency areas covered by the notification and subject to the prescribed residence conditions. Physical measurements are conducted through the prescribed digital measurement system.

AP Police Constable Physical Efficiency Test 2026

AP Police Constable 2026 candidates who qualify the prelims Written Test are called for the Physical Measurement Test and Physical Efficiency Test. The PET requirements vary according to candidate category.

Candidates must meet the applicable standards specified by SLPRB for the recruitment.

AP Police Constable Medical Standards 2026

AP Police Constable 2026 candidates must possess sound health and should not have any bodily defect or infirmity that may render them unfit for police service. The notification also prescribes specific vision and physical fitness requirements.

The notification also lists conditions such as knocking-knees, pigeon chest, flat feet, varicose veins, hammer toes, fractured limbs, decayed teeth, stammering, hard of hearing and abnormal psychological behaviour among the defects/conditions considered for medical fitness. Candidates are advised to get themselves examined by a Civil Surgeon before applying.

AP Police Constable Reservation 2026

AP Police Constable Recruitment 2026 provides reservation benefits under the applicable communal and special-category rules. Special-category reservations are adjusted horizontally within the respective communal categories. Special-category candidates must satisfy the specific conditions and submit the prescribed certificate from the competent authority. Certificates for Home Guard, CPP, CDI and other specified categories must be obtained on or after the notification date where required.

AP Police Constable EWS Eligibility 2026

For AP Police Constable 2026, EWS reservation is available to eligible local candidates of Andhra Pradesh whose gross annual family income is below Rs 8 lakh, subject to the conditions specified in the notification.

The EWS certificate must be issued by the concerned Tahsildar on or after April 1, 2026. Income from all sources, including salary, agriculture, business and profession, is considered for determining family income.

AP Police Constable BC Reservation 2026

For AP Police Constable 2026 BC candidates claiming reservation and age relaxation must submit the required Community Certificate and valid Non-Creamy Layer (NCL) Certificate issued by the competent Andhra Pradesh authority.

The NCL certificate must be issued on or after April 1, 2026. If a valid NCL certificate is not produced during Certificate Verification at the PMT/PET Centre, the candidate will be considered under the Open Category if otherwise eligible and will not be allowed to subsequently claim BC reservation or age relaxation.
