RPSC Assistant Professor exam pattern 2026 is structured to assess a candidate on both subject expertise and general knowledge. The written test forms the first stage of selection. It comprises three papers, 2 subject-specific papers and one on General Studies of Rajasthan. Subject-specific papers carry 75 marks, while the General Studies Paper carries 50 marks. In RPSC Assistant Professor exam 2026, candidates who qualify the written exam test will be called for an interview to evaluate their teaching aptitude, communication skills, and subject understanding.
RPSC Assistant Professor written exam involves three papers, where the first 2 are on the subject the candidates have applied for, and the last paper focuses on General studies of Rajasthan. In RPSC Assistant Professor exam, the written exam carries 89%, and the interview carries 11%.
Note: Commission shall prepare a list of candidates, based on aggregate marks obtained in the written examination and interview, whom they consider suitable for appointment to the posts concerned, arranged in order of merit, and then the Commission shall forward the list to the Government. The Commission shall not recommend any candidate who has failed to obtain a minimum of 36% marks in each paper and 40% marks in the aggregate of the written examination:
Provided that- The percentage fixed as above shall be relaxed by 5% for the candidates belonging to the Scheduled Castes and the Scheduled Tribes.
