RRB Technician 2026 Grade 3 Question Paper (7-Oct-2026) (Shift 3)
The correct answer is

a and b

Statement a: Alloying changes the properties of iron; for example, stainless steel (iron with chromium and nickel) does not rust. So rusting can be prevented by making alloys. True.

Statement b: Stainless steel is mainly iron with chromium (about 18%) and nickel (about 8%) plus a little carbon. True.

Statement c: An alloy is a homogeneous mixture of two or more metals, or a metal and a non-metal, made by melting them together; its composition is uniform throughout. Calling it heterogeneous is False.

So only statements a and b are correct.

Hence, the answer is a and b.
