• Alloting seats closer to the teacher's desk: Proximity to the teacher allows for easier monitoring, redirection, and immediate support. This can help keep a child with ADHD on task and reduce off-task behaviors. This is often a beneficial strategy.
• Alloting seats near by windows for calmness: Seats near windows can offer visual stimulation from outside activities, people, or movement. For a child with ADHD, who already struggles with distractibility, this external stimulation can significantly hinder their ability to focus on classroom instruction. Therefore, this is generally not considered a suitable adaptation.
• Providing independent working space when demanded: Offering a quiet corner or a designated space where a child can work alone can help if they feel overwhelmed or need a break from stimulation.
