Understanding Brow Presentation

Brow presentation occurs when the fetal head is partially extended, and the brow (forehead) becomes the lowest part of the presenting part. This is less common than vertex (head down, chin tucked) or breech (bottom first) presentations.

In a brow presentation, the fetal head is extended significantly. The diameter that engages the pelvis in this presentation is the longest diameter of the fetal head.
