If a man walks at five-sixth of his usual speed from his home towards his office, he is 20 minutes late. Find the usual time (in minutes) to cover the distance between his home and his office.

Let the usual speed be 's' and the usual time be 't'. Distance = s * t When the speed is (5/6)s, the time taken is t + 20 minutes. Distance = (5/6)s * (t + 20) Since the distance is the same: s * t = (5/6)s * (t + 20) t = (5/6)t + (100/6) (1/6)t = 100/6 t = 100 minutes
