PGIMER Exam Centres and Cities
PGIMER entrance exam for B.Sc Nursing, B.Sc Paramedical, and M.Sc Nursing is conducted in Computer Based Test mode at designated centres across multiple cities. Exam centres are primarily concentrated in northern India given PGIMER's base in Chandigarh.

City preference is selected at the time of application. Centre allocation within the chosen city is done by PGIMER and is communicated through the admit card. Centre change requests after admit card release are not entertained.
What to carry on exam day
- Printed admit card (downloaded from pgimer.edu.in) with invigilator's signature and seal from the previous session. The admit card must be signed and stamped by the invigilator during the exam; keep it safe as it is required at counselling
- Original government issued photo ID (Aadhaar card, passport, or driving licence)
- One passport size photograph matching the one uploaded on the application form
- No stationery is required CBT exams provide an on screen interface; no pen, pencil, or paper is needed inside the exam hall
Candidates are advised to arrive at the exam centre at least 30 to 40 minutes before the reporting time on the admit card. Entry is not permitted after the gate closure time, which is typically 30 minutes before the exam begins.
PGIMER Counselling Process
Qualifying the entrance exam places a candidate on the merit list but does not confirm admission. The final seat is secured only after completing the counselling process. All counselling for PGIMER B.Sc Nursing, B.Sc Paramedical, and M.Sc Nursing is conducted offline at PGIMER Chandigarh. There is no online seat allotment for these courses.
Up to four rounds of counselling are conducted; Round 1, Round 2, and Mop Up rounds for unfilled seats. Candidates who accept a seat in Round 1 are not eligible to participate in Round 2.
