NVS Recruitment 2020 Notification

NVS will appoint the deserving candidates for the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas located across different States/UTs across the country. The job posting will be in the schools located in Daman & Diu, Dadra & Nagar Haveli, Maharashtra, Gujarat, and Goa. The notification related to the job announcement was announced on the official website of the NVS.

Candidates planning to get a teacher’s job through NVS recruitment must submit the applications via email maximum by September 11, 2020. The final selection will be made through video conferencing which is scheduled to be held on September 14th, 2020.

Eligibility Criteria

Extra weightage will be given to those candidates who have cleared the CTET exam (Paper-II) for TGTs post. Detailed eligibility criteria are mentioned below:

  • PGT: A PG program from Regional College of Education of NCERT OR From any other NCTE recognized university / Institute. Also, only those candidates who have obtained minimum 50% marks in total can apply.

Having a B. Ed degree is not mandatory for those who have four years integrated degree from the Regional College of Education of NCERT or other NCTE recognized institute.


Master Degree from a recognized University with 50% marks.

  • TGT: A four years integrated degree from a Regional College of Education of NCERT with minimum 50% marks in the prescribed subject. Also, the aggregate score must not be less than 50% OR a bachelor’s honors Degree with minimum of 50% marks. Candidates must have studied the required subject for a minimum of 2 years in their 3 years degree course.


Bachelor’s Degree with 50% marks in the concerned subject. The candidate should have studied the requisite subjects in all three years of degree.

  • FCSA: B.E/ BCA/B.Tech/ Degree with Diploma, CTET.

Candidates working in the government or government-aided residential school will be given preference.

  • Candidates must apply via mail. Also, they need to fill up the Google Form available on the website.
  • While applying via email, the aspirants must mention the correct cluster information and the vacancy in the subject of the mail.
  • While applying for FCSA, the candidates have to mention that they are applying for the post of FCSA in the subject line.

Selection Process

  • The final selection will be finalized after taking an interview through video conferencing.
