Andhra Pradesh Police Recruitment 2023: Final Selection List for SCT SI and RSI Posts Released

The State Level Police Recruitment Board (SLPRB), Andhra Pradesh, has officially announced the final selection list for the recruitment of SCT Sub-Inspectors (Civil) and SCT Reserve Sub-Inspectors (APSP) in the Andhra Pradesh Police Department. Overview of the Recruitment Process

The recruitment began with the issuance of a notification on November 28, 2022, inviting applications for Sub-Inspector (Civil) and Reserve Sub-Inspector (APSP) posts. A total of 1,73,047 candidates submitted their applications online, demonstrating the high level of interest in these positions within the Andhra Pradesh Police.

Preliminary Written Test (PWT)

The first stage of the selection process was the Preliminary Written Test (PWT), which was held on February 19, 2023. Out of the 1,73,047 candidates who applied, 1,51,288 candidates appeared for the exam, and 57,923 successfully cleared it, qualifying them for the next phase of the recruitment.

Physical Measurement Test (PMT) and Physical Efficiency Test (PET)

The qualified candidates from the PWT went on to take the Physical Measurement Test (PMT) and Physical Efficiency Test (PET), which were conducted between August 25 and September 25, 2023, at four different locations across Andhra Pradesh. After the physical tests, 31,020 candidates were deemed qualified to proceed to the final written examination.

Final Written Test and Results

The Final Written Test was conducted on October 14 and 15, 2023, with 18,637 candidates successfully passing the test. For the SCT SI (Civil) posts, the final merit list was prepared based on the marks obtained in Paper III and Paper IV, totaling 400 marks. For SCT RSI (APSP) posts, the marks from Paper III and Paper IV were scaled to 100 each, and combined with 100 marks from the Physical Efficiency Test, making a total of 300 marks.

Merit List and Final Selection

The final merit list was prepared in accordance with the rules of reservation, and specific considerations were given to categories such as women candidates (33.33% reservation) and other special categories like NCC, CPP, PE, PM, and others. Notably, out of the 315 SCT SI (Civil) posts, 102 positions were filled by women candidates, highlighting the emphasis on gender diversity.
