Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, popularly known as KVS will conduct the recruitment for the session 2020-21 on various posts for teachers-to-be stationed all across its branches. KVS recruitment is one of the most popular recruitment opportunities among teachers. It attracts applications to various posts such as Post Graduate Teachers (PGTs), Trained Graduate Teachers (TGTs) and Primary Teachers (PRTs).

KVS Selection Process

KVS 2020 Selection Process

KVS has a selection pattern based on the government’s guidelines of recruitment. The recruitment takes places in the following steps-

  • Written Exam- The candidate has to go through a written competitive examination which takes place all over India for various posts. Only the candidates that clear the first round are short-listed for the second round.
  • Personal Interview- The shortlisted candidates who clear the written examination are called for the personal interview round at various test centres across India. This round is of 60 marks and the sum total of the written examination and the marks in the written round make the final merit list.
  • Merit List- The candidates whose aggregate of written examination and personal interview marks are higher gets the higher position in merit list and are eligible for the post as per the vacancies.

KVS Pay Scale

Pay Scale

The teachers of KVS are offered lucrative salary packages especially after the recent roll-out of the 7th pay commission. They also enjoy additional perks and benefits. The teachers get TA’s, HRA’s and eventual pension as per the government rules and regulations.

KVS Eligibility

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates who are willing to apply for these posts must check their eligibility before applying, failing which they will not be considered for the post. There are various eligibility criteria in terms of nationality, age limit, educational qualifications etc that one needs to take into consideration before applying. These are-

Nationality

All posts in a Central Government job have an essential requirement of being an Indian national. It is essential that the candidate is of Indian origin, living in India at the time of application.

Educational Qualifications

  1. For PGT Posts of Hindi, Physics, English, Chemistry, Biology, Maths, History, Geography, Economics and any stream of Commerce
  • Two Year Postgraduate or M.Sc. Course in the concerned subject.

Or

  • Masters Degree from a recognized university with at least 50% marks aggregate.
    • B.Ed or its equivalent degree from a recognized University.
    • Proficiency in Hindi and English medium teaching.

Or

  • For PGT posts of Computer Science
    • Minimum 50% aggregate in the following-
    • B.Tech (Computer Science or IT) from a recognized University or its equivalent Degree or Diploma from a recognised university.

Or

  • B.Tech, any stream and PG Diploma in Computer from a recognized University

Or

  • M.Sc. Computer Science or Master of Computer Application or equivalent degree from recognized University

Or

  • B.Sc. Computer Science or Bachelor's in Computer Application and PG Diploma in computer subject from a recognized University

Or

  • PG Diploma in Computer from a recognized University

Or

  • B-Level certificate from DOEACC and Post Graduate degree in any subject

Or

  • C-Level Certificate from DOEACC and Graduation
    • Proficiency in Hindi and English medium teaching.

b) Proficiency of Hindi and English medium teaching

  1. For PRT posts (All Subjects)

a) Senior Secondary or its equivalent qualification with at least 50% aggregate marks and 2-year Diploma in Elementary education

Senior Secondary or its equivalent qualification with at least 50% aggregate marks and 4-year Integrated Bachelor degree of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.)

Or

Senior Secondary or its equivalent qualification with at least 50% aggregate marks and 2-year Diploma in Special Education

Graduation degree with at least 50% aggregate marks and Bachelor of Education degree

b) Cleared the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET)

How to apply

The official notification will be released on the official website and corresponding employment news etc. very soon. The candidates are therefore advised to check their eligibility and other criterias before applying. Candidates should also check the important dates thoroughly in order to complete the application process well before the last date.

The application process consists of two parts as follows-

  2. The submission of fees online.

  3. After going through the instructions, click on the link of the application form and fill in the genuine, verified details.
  4. Upload scanned photo, signature and other documents as per the details given.
  5. Re-check the filled information before submitting the form.
  6. Applicants must pay the specified application fee through any of the given channels.
  7. The PDF form of application will be generated, the application and registration number of which is to be kept for future reference.

Further selection procedure:-

  1. The interview round will carry 60 Marks in total.
  2. Then the final merit list will be released. It will be based on the performance of the candidates in the Written Test and the Personal Interview.
KVS Admit Card

KVS Admit Card 2020

KVS will release an official notification two weeks prior to the examination date to announce the release of admit cards for the written examination. The admit cards will specify the time, duration and the centre for the examination to be conducted. Candidates need to check for their details and report in case of any discrepancies to the authority. It is also to be carried on the day of the examination to the test centre, failing which the candidate will not be allowed to sit for the examination.

KVS Result

KVS 2020 Result And Cut-Off

Cut-off will be released by the official KVS recruitment authority to specify the minimum marks that must be obtained by the candidates in order to qualify the written examination. Those candidates who score more than the minimum cut-off marks will be eligible to appear for the Personal Interview. After which the final cut-off will be released and the candidates who qualify this list will be recruited for various posts for which they have applied for.

The merit lists will be released on the official website i.e. kvsangathan.nic.in and no personal communication will be made for the same.

Candidates can refer to the previous-year cut-offs to get an idea of the minimum qualifying marks required as per the subject they have applied for. Cut-off lists are prepared on the basis of categories, subjects and the posts available. Only the candidates who have applied for categories in their application form and have a valid certificate to prove it will be deemed fit to avail the special category cut-offs.

Candidates who are interested in becoming a teacher and want a government job should not miss this golden opportunity. This is a central government job that recruits eligible candidates on the basis of their performance in the written examination and the interview. Interested candidates must start preparing according to the latest exam pattern and syllabus before the official notification comes. The official notification is expected to be released in November 2020.
