KCET 2018 was conducted in offline mode on April–May 2018 (as per KEA schedule) followed by the mandatory Kannada Language Test on 20 April 2018, across multiple sessions for different subjects. KCET is conducted in a single-session offline format where all candidates attempt the same question paper under identical conditions. Since there are no multiple shifts, raw marks are directly used for ranking along with board marks (as per KEA guidelines), eliminating the need for percentile normalization.
