KCET 2018 was conducted in offline mode on April–May 2018 (as per KEA schedule) followed by the mandatory Kannada Language Test on 20 April 2018, across multiple sessions for different subjects. KCET was held separately for PCM and PCB groups to provide admission into Engineering, Pharmacy, and Agriculture courses offered by colleges across Karnataka.

KCET 2018 was conducted in offline mode, The exam consist of  Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Biology. It followed a structured paper pattern with separate subjects and no negative marking. The exam pattern details are given in the table below for reference.

Why KCET 2018 Has No Percentile Normalisation

KCET is conducted in a single-session offline format where all candidates attempt the same question paper under identical conditions. Since there are no multiple shifts, raw marks are directly used for ranking along with board marks (as per KEA guidelines), eliminating the need for percentile normalization.
