  • The candidates applying must have the citizenship of India.
  • Only male candidates are allowed for these posts.
  • He must have passed his 10th or equivalent from a recognized board or institution.
  • The candidates from the General category must be between the age of 18 years and 25 years.
  • The candidates from SC/ST/CAT- 01/2A/2B/3A/3B categories must be between the age of 18 years and 27 years.
  • The Tribal candidates must be between the age of 18 years and 30 years.

Eligibility

  • The candidates applying must have the citizenship of India.
  • Only male candidates are allowed for this post.
  • He must be a domicile or a resident of Karnataka.
  • The candidate must know the Kannada language- spoken and written.
  • Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent degree of three years in any discipline from any recognized university or institution.
  • The candidates from the General category must have the age between 18 years and 25 years.
  • The candidates from SC, ST, CAT- 01, 2A, 2B, 3A, 3B categories must be between the age of 18 years and 27 years.
  • The Tribal students must be between the age of 18 years and 30 years.

  • The Tribal students must be between the age of 19 years and 30 years.

Karnataka Police 2021 Exam Pattern

Karnataka Police Written Exam Paper Pattern for Prelims

  • The exam has two papers with a total of 200 questions.
  • The total duration of both the papers is 90 minutes.
  • Both papers contain a total of 200 marks.
  • The questions are both descriptive and objective.
  • The papers have a negative marking of 0.25 marks for every incorrect answer.
  • Paper 1 is a language paper (English/Kannada) and descriptive in nature.
  • It contains 50 marks.
  • Paper 2 is the General Studies paper and objective in nature.
  • It consists of 150 questions of 1 mark each.

Karnataka Police Written Exam Paper Pattern for Mains

  • There is one descriptive type of language paper (English/Kannada)
  • The topics for this paper are essay writing, precise writing, and translation of sentences
  • Precise writing contains 10 marks, essay writing 20 marks, and translation of sentences 20 marks.
  • The Time duration for this is 90 minutes
  • It consists of 50 marks

Karnataka State Police Recruitment Admit Card

The Karnataka Police Department releases the admit card on the official website. The candidates must go through the notification to find the link to their admit card. They must download the admit card and check if all the details given are correct. In case of any issue, they must contact the authorities immediately. The candidates must download the admit card and carry the print out to the exam center to take the exam.

Karnataka State Police Recruitment Answer Key

Soon after the exams, the Karnataka Police Department releases the set of answers to the exams. This answer key is for the benefit of the students who have taken the exam. They don’t have to wait for the result. They can check their answers and know their estimated scores. It also helps the students prepare for the next round of exams as they solve the previous years’ question paper and tally their answers with the answer keys.

Karnataka Police Department releases the result on its official website. To get the results, the students must log in to the official website with their Registration number and Password. They must go through the notification area and look for the notification for their result. They must click on the link to download the result. They must also take a print out for safe-keeping.

Karnataka State Police Recruitment Cut-off marks

The cut-off marks are issued right after the results are declared. They determine if the candidate is eligible for the next round of exams. However, the cut off marks are not the same every year. They vary due to many factors, such as-

KSP Merit List

Karnataka State Police Recruitment Merit List

A while after the result and the cut off marks, the Karnataka Police Department releases a Merit List. This list consists of the name of the students who qualify for the next round of exams. The students must go through the list and act accordingly.
