The IBPS PO exam is conducted every year for the recruitment of Probationary officers into all the nationalized and government banks of India.

IBPS PO 2021 Eligibility Criteria

The candidate should be eligible for the IBPS PO 2021 if he is seeking to apply for the examination. IBPS PO 2021 Eligibility Criteria are as follows:

Bachelor's degree in any discipline from any recognized university 

Applicants must meet the Nationality requirement.

Applicants’ age must lie between 20 to 30 years as on July 1, 2021.

IBPS PO 2021 Application Form

Candidates will be able to apply online for IBPS PO 2021. No other mode of application will be accepted. Candidates must have their scanned documents and banking details ready for application fee payment before applying for the exam. 

  • Firstly register yourself by providing basic personal information like email id, mobile number, name, etc. 
  • With the use of registration numbers and generated passwords, the candidates can fill the remaining application form details. 
  • Next, you have to upload the scanned photograph, signature, left-hand thumb impression, and handwritten declaration. 
  • Finally, you can pay the application fees as per your category. 
  • The confirmation page will be displayed on the screen which has to be downloaded along with the e-receipt of the payment and it should be kept safely with you for future use. 

IBPS PO 2021 Application Fees

Payment of IBPS PO 2021 Registration Fees can be done using Debit Card, Credit Card, Internet Banking, IMPS, Cash Card/ Mobile Wallet.

The application fee will be INR 600/- for general/ OBC/ EWS candidates and INR 100/- for SC/ ST/ PWD candidates.

IBPS PO 2021 Pre-Exam Training

  • IBPS conducts a special training program before the exam for the candidates belonging to SC/ ST/ Religious Minority Communities. 
  • Eligible candidates have to apply for the same during the application process.
  • The IBPS PO Pre-exam training is free for eligible candidates.
  • Call Letters are issued to the registered candidates which have to be carried to the training center. IBPS PO Pre-exam training will be held in the month of September 2021.
  • Here, candidates are familiarised with the exam pattern and are given helpful tips & tricks by the experts.
  • This training also makes the candidates aware of how to attempt the IBPS PO exam on the computer.

IBPS PO 2020 Exam Pattern

IBPS PO 2020 Exam pattern is different for the Prelims and Main Exam:

IBPS PO 2021 Prelims Exam Pattern

IBPS PO 2021 Prelims exam is a computer-based exam of 60 minutes duration, having 100 multiple choice questions of 1 mark each. There is a negative marking of 0.25 marks. The paper will be set in English and Hindi languages except for the English Section. There are three sections in the paper with sectional duration and candidates must clear overall and sectional cutoffs to qualify the exam.

IBPS PO 2021 Main Exam Pattern

IBPS PO Main exam consists of an objective and a descriptive paper. The Candidates’ descriptive answer sheet will be examined only when the objective paper is qualified. Main Paper Pattern is given below in detail:

IBPS PO 2020 Interview

The Interview Round for IBPS PO 2021 is the final step in the Selection Procedure.

  • Interview Round will be of 100 marks.
  • It will be an offline face to face interaction. 
  • Interviews will be organized by the participating and nodal banks in each state.
  • Candidates’ personal traits and communication skills are tested in the interview.
  • The candidates must attain 40% (35% for reserved category) to finally qualify for IBPS PO.

IBPS PO 2021 Result

IBPS PO 2021 Result will be released thrice - Preliminary result, main result, and Final result. IBPS PO Preliminary result will be released in November 2021, The Main result will be declared in January 2022 and the final result will be announced in April 2022. Firstly, only the qualifying status is released, then, the scorecards are issued consisting of sectional and overall marks and category-wise cutoffs. IBPS PO 2021 Selection Process

IBPS PO Selection Process consists of three stages - Preliminary exam, Main Exam, and Interview round. 

IBPS PO 2021 Preliminary exam is only conducted to shortlist candidates for the main exam. Its score is not used in the final merit list.

Candidates who qualify sectional and overall cutoffs in the prelims exam will have to appear in the main exam.

IBPS PO 2021 Main exam consists of an objective and a descriptive paper. First, the objective paper is examined and if the candidate qualified in this paper, only then his descriptive paper is examined.

Candidates who clear the main exam will be invited for a personal interview of 100 marks. The qualifying marks is 40 for General candidates and 35 marks for reserved candidates. 

The final merit list will be based on the candidate’s performances in the main exam and interview only in the ratio 80:20.
